Interpretive Naturalists are some of our main public liaisons as they welcome, orient, and engage with guests from all around the world. Through delivering general information, answering questions and holding casual conversations, and leading presentations for groups of 25+ guests, IN’s encourage guests to take action to help protect the Bay. By way of conservation education, IN’s educate guests about critical issues related to the Bay’s health such as sustainable seafood, marine debris & plastics, marine protected areas, climate change and freshwater flows. This position reports to the Education Manager and Public Programs Coordinator.

K-12, Youth & Community Outreach Coordinator at Aquarium of the Bay & Sea Lion Center

Under the direct supervision of the Education Manager, the K-12, Youth & Community Outreach Coordinator – responsible for the coordination and execution of all off-site education programs taking place at Bay Area schools, after-school program sites, summer camps and community location sites (i.e. libraries, community festival events, corporate business offices). This includes teaching programs, occasionally acting as a supervisor or “designated person-in-charge” at the Aquarium, and providing training, leadership and support for teaching staff.

IT Systems Administrator

Under the general supervision of the IT Manger, the IT Systems Administrator is the first point of contact for end-users and provides systems support across the organizations’ platforms. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all resources and respond to and troubleshooting issues as needed; maintains and has fluent knowledge of the status of all internal servers and network controllers; tracks and responds to tickets submitted via issue management system; provides support for TCP/IP networking and Cisco IOS, Cisco Meraki, and more.

Familiarity and/or proficiency with: Windows operating systems 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Windows server 2003, 2008, 2012,2016, Galaxy Ticketing by Gateway, C&K Systems Counterpoint.
Participate in an on-call rotation, responsibilities sometimes require working evenings.
