Vanessa Wyant

Vanessa Wyant joined The Bay Institute in the fall of 2009 as Watershed Education Coordinator for the STRAW (Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed) Project. Vanessa works with STRAW teachers to plan and implement in class presentations, coordinate restoration days, and performs maintenance and monitoring on all restoration sites. Prior to this, Vanessa worked on the STRAW Project as a Volunteer in Service to the Environment AmeriCorps Member at the Conservation Corps North Bay for two years. She served on both the Youth in Environmental Service (YES) and Restoration and Ecosystem Management (REM) Crews where she gained valuable experience teaching environmental education to adults and students K-12 and leading groups of youths in environmental restoration and community service projects. Vanessa holds a BA in Biology from Kalamazoo College.
